Carlos K. Fagbenro FNP-BC

 

Carlos is a graduate of George Mason University. He was trained as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) at George Mason and George Washington University. Carlos is an ANCC board certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over 15 years of experience. Carlos started is career at INOVA Fairfax Hospital in 2003, then worked at Chantilly Family Practice Center and James Werner family Medicine with focus on management of chronic and acute medical condition, emphasis on preventive education. Carlos served as an adjunct faculty at South University Online from 2012 to 2014, performing Nurse Practitioner Student clinical performance evaluation and mentorship.

Our EHR enables us to electronically send prescriptions and order labs and diagnostic test on a dime. Our Patient Portal enables easy and constant communication with your provider.

Who is a Family Nurse Practitioner(FNP)?

 

FNP's are master’s or doctoral trained Registered Nurses who has underwent advanced education and clinical experience.

FNP's are jointly licensed by the Boards of Nursing and Medicine.

FNP's offer a wide range of preventive 

and acute health care services to persons of all ages.

FNP's are trained to provide primary and acute care for the entire family (childhood to geriatrics) in private offices, community health care centers, and hospitals.

FNP's diagnose and treat many common acute and chronic problems,conducts  health histories and provide comprehensive physical examinations, interpret laboratory results and imaging studies.

FNP's prescribes and manage medications and other therapies, provide health teaching and supportive counseling with an emphasis on prevention of illness and health maintenance, and refer patients to other health professionals as needed.
